Ring Photos

In an effort to offer you lots of color choices, we show many of our gemstone engagement ring images featuring various different Chatham-created colored gemstones. We use loose stone images provided by Chatham and Photoshop them into our ring photos. Therefore, our images serve as good representations of the ring being shipped rather than photos of the actual ring being shipped. So, your ring will be even more beautiful in person. Please refer to the color descriptions and charts for accurate stone color.

Loose Stone Photos

We use the same loose stone photo to represent different sizes of a given gemstone type and shape. For example, we use the photo to the right to represent all Chatham-created emerald cut emeralds. We do this for a variety of reasons.

1. Digital photos do not accurately capture the true beauty and color of a gemstone. So we believe it's important for you to see the stone in person. That's why we offer a 20-day return policy on Chatham-created loose stones.

2. We pull our loose Chatham gemstones directly from Chatham's inventory so you have a huge selection of gemstones, colors, sizes and shapes to choose from.

3.Chatham's inventory numbers in the many thousands of stones at any one given point, plus the inventory turns very quickly. It's simply not cost effective or time efficient to take professional photos of each stone in Chatham's inventory.

4. Chatham gemstones are grown under strict quality control standards; therefore, the color and quality remains consistent batch after batch. Gem quality means there are no inclusions visible to the naked eye. So there are no clarity characteristics that need to be disclosed in Chatham gemstones. Rubies, emeralds and alexandrites have consistent color from batch to batch. Chatham sapphires are available in various different hues shown on the website.

5. We work directly with Chatham to ensure the color chart images shown on our website accurately demonstrate the range of color for each hue of a particular gemstone based on our monitor settings. So when you order a Chatham loose stone, you can be certain it will be eye-clean and fall into the color range you want. Simply pick the hue you like most, and order the stone. It's that easy.
